I'm a qualified CBT therapist and a fellow human being who strives to enjoy both big and little things in life.
I’m a naturally curious person, endlessly amazed by how much the environment and relationships within it can shape our identities and perspectives on life. I find dynamics between people and their unique inner worlds truly fascinating. I consider being a part of someone’s life story (even if in a very small way!) a real privilege – it's what makes life worth living to me.
I love stories in all forms, and I’m a big advocate for creative ways of expression. I've been journaling, blogging, drafting stories and taking pictures throughout my life, and my keen interest in psychology has grown both through and alongside those forms of self-expression, until I decided to give it a more solid shape and enrolled onto a formal therapeutic training in 2021.
I was born and grew up in Poland, where I studied English Philology and British Literature. After graduation, I emigrated to the UK and have made Edinburgh (and Scotland) my home of choice. The topics of emigration, assimilation, otherness, loss, life transition and related identity crisis are all very close to me.
As I grew older and more experienced with life, the broadly understood nuance has become one of my most cherished values. For me, seeing, understanding and embracing nuance is a gateway to balance and mental well-being. It is a lens I choose to apply when I look at the world, people, myself and everything I do. It fits with who I want to be and how I want to show up in the world, both as a person and a therapist:
